Khoon Hooi on MercedesBenz-STYLO Fashion Show

Continuing on my 2nd part of the Aladdin's Harem Night, presenting the Designer of The Year 2010 - Khoon Hooi;

Khoon Hooi's collection is more ready-to-wear compared to Melinda Looi's collection showcased that night. I love the whole modern ethnic feel to it, and the perky yet elegant colors used. Girls hear up, FASHION TIPS: If you wanna wear multiple colors atleast wear one of your pieces in earthy brown or black. It makes so much difference. It creates elegance!

On the the runway, wasn't able to take photo on each pieces but Alhamdulillah I got the ones I like ;)

Head over heels over this stitched top, draped skirt & what looks like a satin trench coat? Lovely lovely! Even though I don't wear short skirts but I can see myself wearing a reddish or nude brown long skirt underneath it. Voila! That's a second fashion tip for you. I prefer skirts to leggings, not a fan of leggings unless I'm using it as a second layer.

I knew Dee was going to walk for Khoon Hoi from her tweets before the show started. Love the top she's wearing, that large chunky necklace, stitched leggings (wait, didn't I just said I'm not a fan of leggings? Look what Khoon Hooi has done to me!) and ooh la la those shoes! I do own something similar only in wedges. Anyways, have known Dee since my The Shoplifters days. She used to organize bazaars named The Threads Zoo. Smart, gorgeous & hardworking! THE SHOES! Tie-dye, native prints, pastels - what's not to love? ♥

Bernie Chan (model & celebrity) walked on the runway for Khoon Hooi wearing a skin colored corset & a balloon bolero as a muse to the designer, she's super tall by the way. No surprise there, Ami -_-". Anyways love this collection as a whole, localized pattern with a modern style.
